The 65th annual Congressional Dinner of the Washington Press Foundation was held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. After the award presentations congressional leaders joked about the current state of politics.
Representative McCarthy and Senator Klobuchar were the featured speakers. Speaker Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader McConnell were special guests. Candy Crowley was the master of ceremonies.
The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Nan Robertson. She was a correspondent with The New York Times for over 30 years and is the author of The Girls in the Balcony: Women, Men, and The New York Times.
